Class Placement & Levels
Completed registration, registration fee, and first month's tuition are required before a dancer may start class. Class placement is determined by the dancer's age, previous attendance (if applicable), and recent dance experience. Although parents are encouraged to register their child online, each dancer's skill level will be assessed by an instructor to ensure that they are placed in the correct class. Class offerings are subject to change by demand and instructor availability. Attitudes reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes if a particular class does not have the minimum number of students.
Levels - Classes use age as a starting point if the student's ability is unknown, however, if the student displays the technical ability and aptitude to move into a higher level, it may be done at the instructor's discretion. Students should expect to remain in the same level for 2-3 years.

Private Lessons
Private lessons can be arranged through the studio office by calling 781-898-8234 or by filling out this form.
Late Policy
Dancers are expected to arrive early or on-time; entering the classroom late is disruptive to the entire class and disrespectful to the instructor. Because they have missed crucial warm-up time, dancers who arrive more than 15 minutes late may be asked to warm up on the side prior to joining the class.
Holidays Observed
See the calendar page for observed holidays and breaks. Tuition is not adjusted for these days or for inclement weather closings.
Attendance
Consistent attendance is essential in order for dancers to progress through Attitudes' curriculum. Please call or email prior to your dancer's absence so that we may notify the instructor. In the case of absence due to illness or family emergency, a "make-up" of a missed class is permitted at the same level or below the dancer's current level. Weekly attendance is necessary to provide the reinforcement and continuity of instruction needed to teach an individual the coordinated skills of a dancer. Dancers who are injured are encouraged to attend and observe their class so as not to miss any material.
Cancellations
Since most of our classes begin after the school day, Attitudes does not automatically cancel classes when schools close. Cancellations will be announced via email, posted on social media pages and our Weather Cancellations web page.
Make Up Classes
Students can make up missed classes due to weather cancellations, illness or family emergency in any class equal to or below their level at any time. There are no special make up classes and no refunds for missed classes.
Withdrawing/Refunds
In order for a student to drop or cancel a class and receive a tuition refund for that month, you must notify the office in writing prior to the FIRST lesson of the month to receive a refund for that month. Refunds can not be given for missed lessons in any previous month. We would request that you either include the reason for withdrawal in your notification or speak to a staff member so that adequate information can be obtained. Please speak directly with a staff member if your child becomes injured. Withdrawals are accepted through Jan 31st. No refunds can be given after this date. No refunds can be given on costumes after Dec 1st. Withdrawals after this date will be issued as studio credit to the family's account and may be applied to future classes at the studio. All refunds/credits will be issued by check. Please allow 30 days for processing. There are no refunds for 6-week, summer camps, or spring/summer session classes. In the event of a withdrawal for a medical reason, a credit to the family's account will be applied which may be used for future classes at the studio.
